Glossary of Terms
RPAC is the REALTOR® Political Action Committee. Laws and regulations shape the way you do business and your rights as a private property owner. Political Action begins with raising money. REALTORS® voluntarily contribute donations to the RPAC. RPAC raises the funds to fight political battles and support electoral candidates whose legislative track record indicates their support of private property rights and the real estate industry.

Donating to RPAC ensures that there will be funding to support REALTOR® issues in various ways, including a non-partisan support of candidates with a history of voting for REALTORS®, and fighting bills that would have a negative impact on private property rights and the community. For more information on REALTOR® issues and the stance that the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS® takes please visit the UAR website.

In addition to contributing to RPAC, REALTORS® volunteer on the Government Affairs Committee which locally monitors issues to ensure that ordinances and statutes which would effect the real estate industry negatively are not passed. This group works through local, state and federal channels to ensure that your rights as a private property owner are protected.
