REALTORS® and Affiliate Members have a vested interest in our community. Protecting Property Rights and building strong communities through service is a priority for the SLBR and it's members. REALTORS® and Affiliate Members make that vision a reality by working with and through governmental agencies to ensure the protection of private property and small business rights. They also organize various community service projects throughout the year, donating hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars to organizations like The Road Home Homeless Shelter and the Christmas Box House.

REALTOR® and Affiliate Members are encouraged to volunteer throughout the year and serve on one or more of the Board's many committees, which range from internal affairs to community service. The smooth and efficient running of the Board is accomplished by hours of volunteer service by many dedicated members. The experience offers an exceptional opportunity to network with other real estate professionals and make new friends. We invite you to give back to the industry and the community by volunteering your time.

Get Involved! We are no longer accepting volunteer applications for the 2008 Committees. But you can still get involved in many community projects such as Shrimpfest, Kidsfest, and Christmas in July. Visit the online calendar or Hotsheet for opportunities to sponsor, volunteer time, or make a donation. It's simple to register. Simply complete the online form and wait for the committee chair to contact you. If you have any questions or would like additional information about a committee, please don't hesitate to contact us. Laws and regulations shape the way you do business. Every day, elected officials make decisions that could determine your profits! The Salt Lake Board of REALTORS® is actively involved in political issues that impact the real estate industry, and closely monitors local, state and national legislative bodies. Our Governmental Affairs/RPAC section will keep you informed about the decisions and candidates that affect your life! Political action begins with raising money. The REALTOR® Political Action Committee at the Board fills that role. RPAC raises the funds to fight political battles and support electoral candidates whose legislative track record indicates their support of private property rights and the real estate industry.
