Code of Ethics

Are you a new agent or broker? Are you joining the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS® for the first time? If so, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE THIS CLASS. If you have been a member for some time, you are required by the National Association of REALTORS® to take this class once every four years. Fortunately, it's fascinating!

*NOTE: This course is required by the NAR and is not the same as your State Required Core Course.

The Objectives of this Course are:

1) Students will be aware of what the Code of Ethics is and what it is not and will be able to conduct themselves accordingly.

2) Students will be able to interact ethically with their clients.

3) Students will be able to maintain an ethical relationship with buyer (or seller, if representing the buyer.)

4) Students will know of their ethical duties and obligations to the general public - and will be able to conduct themselves in an ethical manner.

5) Students will understand the ethical behavior necessary to work with other licensees both in other offices and in their own office.

6) Students will be able to recognize and write ethical advertising.
