Dick Wood
Dick Wood is one of the instructors for the Code of Ethics class taught at the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS®. He graduated from BYU in Banking and Finance and began his career in 1960 as a Loan Officer and Appraiser for the Federal Building and Loan Association, (Now Mountain West Savings). In 1973 he changed jobs and became a REALTOR® Associate for the company Haymore Realty where he stayed for three years before becoming a broker for his own company, WOOD REALTORS® .
Dick has been very active in his community as well as several REALTOR® associations. In the National Association of REALTORS®, he has been the National Director several years, the Regional Vice President of 6 western states, the Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee and a member of several other committees. His 22 years as a member of the Utah Association of REALTORS® has found him as the Chairman of the Publicity and Public Relations Committee, Strategic Planing Committee, and Professional Standards Committee. Dick has been the Secretary/Treasurer, Administrative Vice President, President Elect, and President of the UAR and has received the President’s award and the UAR REALTOR® of the Year. While busy in the NAR and UAR, Dick has also participated in the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS®. In 1974 and in 1978-79 he was awarded the Salesman of the Year and in 1984 the REALTOR® of the year. He has been the First Vice President and President for the Board of Directors and has been a valuable member of several committees as well. Dick is a GRI Graduate and CRB member and shares his knowledge and experience with others as an instructor for the Professional Standards Orientation class.
