Kurt Salomon
Kurt's background is that he is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for IBM for over 25 years in sales, marketing and executive education.
Kurt is respected for his knowledge of home inspections and real estate related environmentals. Mr. Salomon has been a home inspector for over 14 years, have served on the national Board of Directors of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), the Exterior Design Institute (EDI). ASHI is the oldest, and largest home inspector association. EDI trains more stucco and EIFS inspectors than any other organization. The University of Utah, Rocky Mountain Center for Occupation and Environmental Health (RMCOEH) has hired Kurt as a guest lecturer for their classes. He holds an Industrial Hygiene Associate Certificate from the RMCOEH. The Salt Lake Board of REALTORS® magazine has published many of his articles on a wide variety of topics including home inspections, environmentals and other real estate related topics. Mr. Salomon has served on the Division of Real Estate Contract Forms tasks force since 1998.
Kurt has nine approved Real Estate Continuing Education courses including: Home Inspections, Stucco, Mold, Radon, REPC (including case studies). He has a good sense of humor as can be attested by the titles of two of his approved classes: Three Little Pigs Home Inspections (Mold, Stucco, and Rado) and Don't Get Stuck in Stucco.
In 1998 the SLBR presented Kurt with the George Craker Affiliate of the Year Award. When not inspecting homes or installing radon mitigation systems, Kurt can be found teaching skiing at Brighton or refereeing soccer matches.
