You will definitely need to turn in your KEY within 48 hours of going inactive with the Board. Failing to do so, will hold your last Broker responsible for all reoccurring charges for the KEY.
If the agent does not return their KEY within 48 hours, they will no longer be eligible for any refund. The last responsible Broker will also be assessed a $50 lease buy out option. This charge must be paid in order to release any and all responsibility from the Broker. If the charge is left unpaid, the reoccurring yearly lease will be charged to the Broker's account until they pay the buy out or return the KEY. The Broker may want to personally try to contact the agent to get the KEY back. If they succeed in collecting the KEY from the agent and return it to the Board, they will no longer be held responsible for the KEY.
