Board Gives $22,000 To The Road Home Shelter
Television stations KSL-TV and KTVX-ABC covered the presentation of a
$22,000 check by the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS to The Road Home, a
Salt Lake City shelter fighting homelessness.
Representing the Board were: Bill Heiner, president of the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS; Bryan Kohler, Board CEO; Lisa Jungemann, chairwoman of the 2010 Shrimpfest Committee; and Lynda Coleman, a member of the Board of Directors.
The Board has given money to the shelter every year since 1994 through an annual dinner and silent auction.
The $22,000 donation will help roughly 2,000 people, according to Steve Eliason, president of the Board of Trustees for The Road Home. The average cost of shelter per night per person is $10.97.
