LDS Church Lowers Prices On Condo Development

The Salt Lake Tribune reported that the LDS Church has lowered its prices on condominiums in the City Creek development in downtown Salt Lake City.

At the 20-story Regent, set for completion in 2011, prices originally ranged from $300,000 to $1.7 million. Those prices now start in the mid-$100,000s.

"The Church's pricing didn't surprise Bill Heiner, President of the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS. Seven out of 10 homes sold in May were priced under $250,000, adding that demand drops off sharply in the higher price ranges."
