Keys and Boxes

Our Key and Lockbox System delivers the security, convenience, reliability and performance of infrared technology in a compact, easy to use, fully-secured design. Keys are available for members of the Salt Lake Board after they have completed their Code of Ethics class. Bring your agreement forms to the class or when you come to pick up a key.

Keys are available for a $50 deposit, and your key lease is included in your 2010 dues.

Realtors can terminate the key contract by turning in the equipment and software issued to them. Upon receiving the key, we will issue a refund of $35 from the original deposit. Key must be turned in within five business days of going inactive with the board or putting license on inactive with the Division of Real Estate to be eligible to receive deposit refund. If the key is not turned in the Agent will be billed the remaining $199 in addition to keeping the deposit to replace the lost key (full price of key is $249). The $199 charge can be waived if the key is turned in after the bill is sent out, however the deposit will not be refunded.

Authorized Affiliates (home inspectors, photographers, etc.) who want keys may do so with a copy of their general liability insurance or a bond and completion of the Code of Ethics course. Companies must have been in business a year and members of the board for six months before they can get a key.
